Bookings now open for stages of the AIDAaura World Cruise

On August 1, 2018, at 10 a.m., bookings open for stages of the AIDAaura World Cruise. Three exclusive stages can be booked for this voyage as part of the AIDA Selection explorer program. Availability is limited.

 

On its World Cruise from October 28, 2019, to February 22, 2020, AIDAaura will travel to 41 ports in a total of 17 countries. In addition to Australia, some highlights on this great adventure include New Zealand, southern Africa, Rio de Janeiro, Tierra del Fuego, Tahiti, Bora Bora, Mauritius, and lots of other dream destinations. Some gems will be visited for the first time in the history of AIDA – the Cook Islands in the middle of the Pacific, three new ports in New Zealand, Kangaroo Island and Esperance in Australia, Maputo in Mozambique, and East London in South Africa.

 

The duration of the cruise stages varies from 34 to 48 days – a perfect opportunity to fulfill the dream of an entirely unique voyage in shorter stages. AIDA guests can, for example, travel from Hamburg to San Antonio in 35 days, from San Antonio to Mauritius in 48 days, or from Mauritius to Hamburg in 34 days.

 

The individual stages of the AIDAaura World Cruise can be booked starting from 4,695 per person (including the 700 Early Saver Plus discount for bookings by May 31, 2019).

 

Natural wonders at the end of the world – from Hamburg to San Antonio (Chile)

October 28 to December 2, 2019

For the first stage, dream destinations like Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) or Buenos Aires (Argentina) are on the program. Nature enthusiasts will love Glacier Alley in Patagonia and the breathtaking coast of Tierra del Fuego – the southern end of the world. Guests can observe penguins, blue whales and many exotic birds in their natural habitat. An excursion to the Iguaçu Falls, among the world's largest waterfalls, makes this extraordinary nature experience perfect.  

 

Heavenly beaches as far as the eye can see – from San Antonio to Mauritius

December 2, 2019 to January 19, 2020

Passengers experience South Sea paradises and dream destinations in the second stage of the world voyage. While scuba diving in Tahiti and Bora Bora, guests swim among schooling fish and discover skate and sea turtles. The Cook Islands and the three ports in New Zealand are a new addition to the AIDA program. AIDAaura docks in Australia a total of five times, including New Year's Eve in Sydney. Following Down Under, travelers spend relaxing days at sea on their way across the Indian Ocean to Mauritius, the final island paradise of this stage.

 

 

 

Magical Africa – from Mauritius to Hamburg

January 19 to February 22, 2020

The third stage takes passengers from Mauritius to La Réunion and the capital of Mozambique, Maputo, to South Africa. On an unforgettable safari in South Africa's national parks, guests can observe elephants and lions. Cape Town at the foot of Table Mountain unites city flair with a spectacular landscape. The voyage continues along the western coast of Africa with a visit to the diamond town Lüderitz and Dakar – once a major slave trading center. On its way to Europe, AIDAaura passes Tenerife, the largest of the Canary Islands. After a last look at the volcano Teide, which majestically rises 3,718 meters above sea level, AIDAaura will head for beautiful Lisbon and Paris, the city of love, before this unforgettable voyage ends at the Port of Hamburg.
