Get into the Spirit of Halloween with Carnival

From pumpkins to palm trees and witches to white sandy beaches, Carnival Cruise Line is serving up a South Pacific spooktacular in 2017 with both of its local ships offering a Halloween cruise to New Caledonia.

Carnival Spirit will spend Halloween at Mare in the Loyalty Islands, while sister ship Carnival Legend will call at Isle Of Pines on October 31, offering a double dose of ghoulishly good fun in the sun.

Both cruises will feature a fun line up of scariness at sea with a costume party, themed movies, trick or treating and a menu to die for, including witches brew bubbling at the bar, spider snacks and scary cheesecake for a death defying dessert.

With this year's Halloween creeping closer, the cruise line has released a ghoulish guide to Halloween decorations on its blog including a clip showing a Carnival crew member carving a pumpkin.

As an American cruise line with ships based in Australia, Carnival Cruise Line Vice President Australia Jennifer Vandekreeke said the cruise line was proud to help Australians embrace the fun side of the popular US tradition.

"There is so much fun to be had on October 31 and cruising with Carnival is a guaranteed way to get into the spirit and have a legendary Halloween," Ms Vandekreeke said.

"While Carnival Spirit and Carnival Legend will offer thousands of Australians a hauntingly good time in the Pacific next year, we have loaded up our blog with tips and tricks to make Halloween just as lively for landlubbers."

Carnival Spirit will get into the Halloween spirit during an eight-night cruise to New Caledonia, departing Sydney on October 28, 2017, priced from $999* per person twin share.

Carnival Legend will offer a legendary Halloween at sea during an eight-night cruise departing Sydney on October 26, 2017, and calling at Noumea, Mare and Isle Of Pines, with fares from $949* per person twin share.
