New AIDA shore excursions for the 2017/2018 Caribbean season

On board AIDAdiva, AIDAluna and AIDAmar, guests have even more sportive, culinary and cultural options to choose from

AIDA is offering new, additional shore excursions for the 2017/2018 Caribbean season. From a horseback ride through fields and river landscapes in La Romana to a culinary tour in Grand Cayman to a hike on the tracks of the Rastafari in Jamaica – there's something for everyone.

On the routes "Caribbean and Central America" with AIDAmar from/to La Romana in the Dominican Republic or from/to Montego Bay in Jamaica, guests can choose between a variety of exciting excursions. The new tour "Life and culture of the Rastafari" in Montego Bay is very informative. While visiting a Rastafari village in the center of the island, guests not only learn more about the history of the Jamaican Rasta Men and their beliefs, they can also enjoy delicious local food.

In La Romana, guests can enjoy a nice horseback ride. On their horses, the participants can explore the rural regions. For even more action, guests can take a kayak on the Chavón river: In two-person kayaks, they paddle along the picturesque river shore. This new excursion in La Romana is offered to guests on board AIDAluna and AIDAdiva on their Caribbean cruises as well.

On the Columbian Caribbean coast lies what may be the most beautiful city in South America: Cartagena de Indias. Surrounded by the city wall, the historic old town has enchanting churches and monasteries, majestic palaces, and palm-bordered plazas.

In Puerto Limon in Costa Rica, AIDA guests can now exclusively swim and cook on a private beach. At the Gandoca-Manzanillo national park, located in lush nature, they'll have enough time to enjoy the heavenly beach and have fun bathing, and then make lunch together right there at the ocean.

The last station on the voyage is Grand Cayman. On a new tour, guests can sample authentic local spirits. In addition to visiting the only rum factory on the island and tasting the famous Seven Fathom Rums, guests explore the typical beer brewery Caybrew and the native beer. AIDAluna guests can book this enticing bar tour as well.

All new Caribbean cruises of AIDAdiva, AIDAluna and AIDAmar can be booked on myAIDA.
