Secure a holiday for under £30 as P&O Cruises launches its summer 2018 collection

P&O Cruises is offering its biggest ever discounts for early bookers and the chance to secure a holiday for under £30 per person as it launches its summer 2018 holiday collection.

On general sale from September 19, highlights of the new summer programme include:
·        A choice of 36 school holiday cruises
·        Maiden calls to seven new ports
·        A new 30-night Canadian cruise
·        New discovery cruises to lesser-known destinations
·        New 12-night Norwegian Fjord cruise

New customers booking before November 30 will receive a 5% discount and will only be required to pay a 5% deposit, so a seven night Western Mediterranean cruise from £599 per person can be secured for just £28.50 per person.

P&O Cruises senior vice president, Paul Ludlow, said: "Due to overwhelming customer demand, this is the earliest we've ever launched our summer holiday collection. It's really great for those who like to book a holiday for next to nothing and then have time to save up for it. For example, families can now plan and save for their holiday up to two years in advance, so there's never been a better time to book."  

The new programme also features more of P&O Cruises popular itineraries in 2018 including the biggest selection of year-round cruises from Southampton, seven and 14-night fly-Med cruises from Malta with an optional city stay extension, cruises to the Fjords, Northern Lights, Greek Islands, Food Heroes cruises, Strictly Come Dancing themed cruises and Music Festivals at Sea.

Pre-registration opens on September 5. The programme will go on sale to top tier Caribbean and above Peninsular Club members from September 15 and on general sale from September 19, 2016. Prices start from £599 per person for a seven-night Western Mediterranean cruise on Britannia (B807) from Southampton departing March 30, 2018.

Early booking offer
An early booking discount is available on all P&O Cruises new summer 2018 programme cruises. Newcomers benefit from a 5% discount and 5% low deposit, whilst past guests (all guests who have previously travelled with P&O Cruises) will receive 10% discount and 5% low deposit. This offer is available until November 30, 2016 and is combinable with Select Price on new summer 2018 holidays only.

Select Price benefits includes:
·        A choice of on board spending money or car parking or coach transfer
·        Choice of cabin number and location
·        Priority for dining time and table size
·        Flexibility to change booking
·        Priority for complimentary cabin upgrades
·        Complimentary use of shuttle buses (where operated by P&O Cruises)

School Holiday Cruises
A choice of 36 family holidays during Easter, summer and May or October half-term are available across five ships with destination options including the Canary Islands, Iberia, Mediterranean (ex-UK or fly-cruise), short city breaks and the Norwegian Fjords. Itineraries vary between two and 17 nights.

Maiden calls
The summer 2018 programme will deliver seven new ports across five cruises. New destinations include Capri and Rapallo in Italy, Rovini in Croatia, Kristiansund in Norway and Gaspe, Sept Iles and Iles de la Madeleine in Canada.

New Canadian cruise
Arcadia will offer a new 30-night Canadian itinerary (J813) departing September 3, 2018. The focus will be on lesser frequented ports such Saguenay, Sept Iles and Corner Brook, and the cruise will feature three maiden calls, two nights in New York and an overnight in Quebec.

New discovery cruises
P&O Cruises is introducing 15 new discovery cruises in 2018 ranging from 14 to 19 nights. Discovery cruises provide guests with the chance to explore lesser-known destinations and ports packed with local charm along with a few classic cities all in the same holiday. Available on mid-sized ships Oriana, Arcadia and Aurora and ideal for those looking to experience new places and cultures, options include:
·        16-night Scandinavia & Russia cruise on Aurora (R807) departing May 19, 2018 with discovery ports including Gdansk in Poland (tours from Gdynia), Visby, Klaipeda in Lithuania and Riga in Latvia
·        14-night Mediterranean cruise on Arcadia (J809) departing July 22, 2018 with discovery ports including Elba, Toulon and Ceuta
·        19-night Central Mediterranean cruise on Oriana (X819) departing October 5, 2018 with discovery ports including Corigliano Calabro and Catania in Italy and Kotor

New 12-night Norwegian Fjord cruise
Due to popular demand, P&O Cruises has increased its longer 12-night Norway Fjords cruises in 2018. Two options are available:
·        A 12-night Fjords cruise on adult-only Arcadia (J810) departing August 5, 2018
·        A 12-night Fjords cruise on family-friendly Aurora (R808) departing June 4, 2018
